Custom Outdoor Kitchen..... "That's Italian"

This family wanted something more Italian, something with a little snap... so this is what we drilled it down to after a lot of back and forth.... why not a grill, with a pizza oven so that guests can enjoy the benefits of both.  The Home Owner Chef wanted something that reflected an Italian based outdoor kitchen, but that also had the advantages of a quick click turn on grill.  He also valued counter space so we decided to bump out an edge for a bit more surface area to work with.

Who wants to make pizza outdoors without plenty of counter space right?

Let's take a look at the finish... I think we were able to build this outdoor kitchen exactly to the Chef's specifications....

Part 1 - Pavilion Pergola, Outdoor Kitchen, Twin Eagles Grill and Components, Family Leisure Outdoor Living

From design to final installation this project felt and delivered Christmas card quality results!

The home owner really had an eye for the placement of the Pavilion and the results truly convey what "sitting by the fire" can mean in an outdoor living space.

This was the last project of the year and we were pushed up against time, daylight, and of course Indiana snow, but we were able to get it all completed and what a finish it delivered.

Involved in this is was a two color decorative concrete stamp in which were able to match the concrete colors and stamp that they already had existing around the pool deck to the new concrete.  We were actually able to locate the contractor that originally poured the concrete for this house when it was built 12 years ago which was great as we were then able to get the exact colors to match - a very very rare thing but a great story nonetheless.

Now getting to the project.

What we did here was build a Western Red Cedar tongue and groove pavilion style cedar shake shingled, antique red brick, gas burning, 17' tall fireplace, with radial woodbox openings and a matching radial firebox opening to the fireplace.

We accented the pergola with painted white 8 x 8 rough cut cedar posts, copper caps, and decorative arches on the columns.

Some of these subtle nuances are often overlooked when you are outfitting a pergola, but collectively displayed can make something really "pop" in the outcome.

Here is a picture of the final pergola design

Fireplaces Fireplaces Fireplaces!!!!

Adding some level of fire feature, but more specifically a fireplace can add a level of privacy, elegance, and most importantly heat!!!! Here are a few examples of some fireplaces we did this season of all sorts of sizes and shapes.

Fireplaces can have wood boxes for storage, mantles for a TV or candles and additional lighting, as well as seat walls for additional seating.

Take a look!
