Great Space we just installed featuring white polycarbonate see through canopy top, Pavilion style, River Rock Cultured Stone - Looking good for the fall!

We did a great space for a new residential build just on the outskirts of Indianapolis.  This outdoor room features a 16 x 16 pavilion pergola with a pitch, polycarbonate canopy top (white), Saber 500 built in grill, trash can, utensil drawer, and some built in shelving.

Outdoor Room with some great features! Granite Bar and Grill with an added firepit as well as a beautiful trellis stained cedar pergola

For this quaint outdoor room we designed a space to truly maximize square footage while also allowing a level of privacy for the home owners.

Below you will find space as it sat on our first appointment to the concept to the finish.  We utilized tore out the existing brushed broom concrete and added an accenting exposed aggregate concrete with a brown stain to hide the dirt and make it look a bit more custom without taking away from the what was to come.

The grill/bar/fire pit allows for 8 people to sit at while the 16 x 16 trellis pergola created a level of intimacy while also providing a strong sense of shade without completely covering the space.

Take a look!

Custom Outdoor Living Space w/ a beautiful stone column pergola, fireplace, and spa!

Here we did took a concept drawing from start to finish!  We were able to really set the stage from start to finish and WHAT a finish!  Outdoor living and outdoor rooms are a way to enhance your home and if done correctly your USABLE space!  By designing spaces literally to the inch and by planning correctly you can really maximize the way you want to enjoy home outdoors!

Take a look here!  Why would you want to go inside when you can sit under this???

Are you ready for some football?

Here at Family Leisure we are all about outdoor living, enjoying time with family, and making your outdoor living space as comfortable and functional as we can.  From time to time we get to see some pretty interesting outdoor spaces as well as we get to create some spaces that can also take on a life of their own.  Here is a great example of a family that just moved into town, wanted a space completed before season's kickoff of college football, and had the space to allow for some pretty creative things to happen.

What we did here was build an outdoor bar/ grill island with all the "fixin's"  including a 12 person radial bar with a foot rest, custom fit western red cedar pergola, custom backsplash behind the grill, built in shelving - with quite a view!  These folks are ready for ALL the big games this year!  I think I know where the outdoor rated T.V. should go too!!!!!

Take a look at what we did!

"Hip" to be square - in Outdoor Living!

Huey Lewis, from The Huey Lewis and the News band said it best back in the late 80's....."It's hip to be square!"

Little did he know he would be way of ahead of his time in Outdoor Living.  We took a really custom concept in Outdoor Living and made it a reality.  With Custom Paint to match the house both on the roof and the custom "tapered" columns along with custom grout for the Limestone that the posts rest on I think we came out with something truly unique.  This is something that is even difficult to "google."

We even built a custom cedar cupola.  A cupola is a form of Roman architecture developed and built in the age of the Renaissance. Well - here it is again in 2012 and I think it might be making a comeback!

As you can see this project still has some work left, but I like the way this is all starting!
